Factoids are brief essays - each of them explores a separate piece of the climate change puzzle.  While both interesting and informative, factoids don't offer the analysis found in the book, which is probably indispensable if you are to connect the separate pieces of the puzzle to form a rational and useful overview of the climate change phenomenon.  If your goal is a well rounded understanding of this subject, reading the book would definitely be your best choice.

Examine The Evidence - There are two ways to review the more than 1,000 articles covering the peer reviewed research which provided the basis for the statements you will find in the book.  The Archive is organized by subject matter.  You can also access these articles by using links imbedded in the text of the book, which is reproduced here.  Go to Examine the Evidence and follow the instructions.

Congressional Bulletin Board – The book calls upon you to join with your neighbors in an effort to get your government back from people apparently too self involved to respond to the threat of climate change.  The bulletin board is a simple internet tool to assist neighbors to find each other.  It's pretty basic but it is a start.
